ballerina girl

Our little tomboy started ballet lessons the other day and surprisingly she actually loved it - apart from when we had to tie her hair back which always involves masses of tears and tantrums.
She may not be the most graceful dancer but she sure gives it a go, anyway it's all about having fun at this age - and the sticker she gets at the end of course...

Lily's take on 1st position, complete with a little belly grab

  2. Oh Linda, you're as bad as Steve! He was whining because he wanted her to do soccer (which she can do too but the nearby classes were all at wrong times and I didn't want to travel). All they do at this age anyway is do basic stretches and positions, sing rhymes, listen to classical music etc. Anyway she needs all the help she can get when it comes to being ladylike and graceful, especially if she's inherited my rythym...

  3. Lily will have a great time. Till started ballet in Bathurst when she was 3 and LOVED it. Perfect for developing coordination and rhythm!

  4. Of course she's wants to do ballet - she takes after her Great Aunt Therese! Beautiful photos by the way. And I just love that she's doing something 'girlie' - so sick of all this non-sexist stuff! Go Lily!
