Santa Claus, Christmas lights and cousins...

Maybe because it was something I missed while I was overseas but if I'm in Sydney at Christmas time I will always make the trek into the city to see the lights, DJ's windows and Martin Place Christmas tree. It's a tradition that takes me straight back to childhood . . . there's just something so magical about the city at this time and I really want Austin and Lily to experience it too.
So with a brief break from the non-stop rain we took our chance and went in last night . . .

We decided to take the kids to see Santa Claus while we were there, Lily was SUPER excited and talked non-stop the whole bus trip in about how she would tell him she wanted a "birdy toy". . . so what did she do when she saw him, frowned and nervously played with her fingers before bursting into tears of course (this was taken just before the tears).
we met up with Mum and Dad and Linda and had a noisy dinner at PJ O'Briens . . . 4 very excited little ones
The light display at Town Hall, it was beautiful . . .
Chasing each other around the crystal Christmas tree at QVB

Shame, poor Lily just couldn't stay awake and missed the big Christmas tree
