Austin had his first real game of Football today. And by Football I mean the round ball (apparently we aren't allowed to call it soccer anymore). He did Little Kickers last year but that was mainly drills and ball skills, not proper games, so he's been super excited to start playing in a 'real' team.
He joined Narrabeen Football Club and for the last few weeks he's been training hard every Friday afternoon, but today was the BIG day. He woke up at 6am and wanted to leave straight away, pity his game didn't start till 10.45, lets just say it was a long morning trying to keep him occupied . . .
It was a beautiful Autumn day, a perfect day to be outdoors and such fun to watch the little boys running around, with no real plan other than them all trying desperately to get the ball. In the end his team did really well though and ended up winning 8-2, with Austin scoring 3 of the goals. He played so well, but most importantly he had an absolute ball.
before the game and super excited - how's that gap???
The Meteors
tongue out and concentrating
so happy after scoring his 1st goal
Arguing with his mate Scott about who was in the wrong after the other team scored. There was hand waving, pointing and yelling for about a minute, it was so funny.
Oranges at half time - nothing tastes sweeter
gutted because the couch told him he wasn't starting the 2nd half and had to be 1st sub
Congratulations Meteors! Way to go Austin - well done - what a great support you are to your new team.
